Minnie, my 13-year-old black cat, has been a cherished part of my life since she came to us as a homeless, pregnant cat when I was a child. We raised her babies together, and she quickly became a beloved member of our family. Minnie is gentle, sweet, and full of love—she never hisses or bites, and she brings joy to everyone she meets. She loves morning snuggles, chirping at birds from the window, chin rubs, and especially her food (tuna is her favorite!). She spends her days curled up on my lap and sleeps by my side every night.

Over the years, Minnie has been my constant companion and emotional support, especially as I’ve faced my own struggles with disability and financial hardship. Her presence has helped me through some of the hardest times, giving me comfort and hope when I needed it most. Now, Minnie is facing her own health battle. She has suffered from severe tooth decay for several years, resulting in the loss of several teeth and causing her significant pain. Eating has become difficult for her, and her quality of life has declined as a result.

Minnie urgently needs extensive oral surgery, along with preoperative blood and urine tests, medications, and ongoing veterinary care. Without this treatment, her condition could become life-threatening. Unfortunately, due to my disability and long-term unemployment, I simply cannot afford the care she desperately needs. My family is helping as much as they can, but the costs are overwhelming for all of us.
