Hello, I'm currently asking for donations for my dad's dog, Minnie. It may be hard to see in the photo, but currently one of her back legs is about three times the size it should be. My dad's current vet said it's a benign tumor, but there's a possibility of it getting bigger (which it already has) or even splitting open. She needs it removed as soon as possible via surgery.

They have done a blood test for her, but her blood platelets are low, so they don't want to try surgery until they go back up. However, after some medication and another blood test, and the levels haven't changed. Now Minnie needs an ultrasound and/or x-rays to determine why this is happening. But my dad can't currently afford it, since he's retired.

Minnie is around 12 years old and despite the large growth on her leg, she's still a very happy and active dog. My dad told me that she was running down the sidewalk the other day! She's not about to give up and she's been learning how to live with the growth on her leg. We would not want to put her down just because of this.

Your donation will go to him and Minnie so the vet can figure out what's going on with her and hopefully get the surgery she needs. (And maybe even some treats!)
