I am a cat rescuer and this fundraiser is for little Minky, a very special 8-month-old Maine Coon mix.

We pulled Minky (and her brothers) from a difficult situation when she was 5 months old. She weighed only two pounds and had a lot of health issues: worms, fleas, she was anemic and emaciated, and had uncontrollable diarrhea.

There were a few times I thought we’d lose her, and an instance we almost lost her brother, but she had a strong spirit.

Not long after her arrival, she developed a strange case of gingivitis, a common condition for kittens getting their adult teeth.

But her reaction was not common and rapidly progressed to stomatitis. Because she was unhealthy, still hadn’t lost her baby teeth, and was very underweight, we put her on a med regime to wait for the adult teeth to come in.

We hoped the condition would clear, and she’d be able to keep her teeth.

Unfortunately, her gums started to grow over her teeth as they came in. Her condition worsened dramatically.

Upon her consultation for surgery, our highly experienced cat vet stated it was the worst case of advanced stomatitis she’d ever seen. And she’s a dentist! She’s done thousands of extractions.

All the teeth had to come out, but this whole thing wiped out our savings and maxed out credit cards.

Minky has other health issues that need to be addressed, and there are many more kittens in that home that need desperate help.

Now we need some extra help.

If you can spare even a few dollars towards her care and her family we had to leave behind, it’d make a tremendous difference in what we can do.

Any funds raised go to replenishing what we lost in the care and surgery.

She is one of the most delightful and funny kittens I’ve ever fostered. I just love her to bits.

I want to help her cousins, half-siblings, and mom, but right now we are tapped.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide, even if it's only a couple of dollars.
