Hey saints,

I need your help, my mom is currently in the ICU, she had to undergo a procedure on 8.11.2020 to place a stent in the bile duct which is currently crooked and that procedure was unsuccessful the 3 times it was attempted by the doctors on 3 different occasions.  After the third attempt she is now in the ICU with an infection in her intestines because during that procedure her intestine was perforated which the hospital has already confirmed.  At the time the infection was discovered they also discovered that there is an obstruction in the duodenum which is a part in her intestines near the liver which helps breakdown the food.  This obstruction  prevents food from passing through the digestive tract interfering with digestion and nutrition which has resulted in her stomach becoming very enlarged and distorted, and the doctors have to completely repair it. 

According to the doctors this is a very complicated and high risk surgery that has required extensive planning before an attempt at it.  They plan to do surgery on Thursday 8.27.2020, but they still have to wait until the infection clears and have a solid plan since this is a delicate situation.  My mom is on antirejection drugs (immunosuppressants) due to the liver transplant she had in 2014, which makes the healing process longer and extremely intense after the surgery, therefore leaving us unsure of the length of time she will have to remain in the hospital to heal after the surgery.  Immunosuppressants is a drug that suppress or reduce the strength of the body's immune system. These drugs are used to make the body less likely to reject a transplanted organ, that's why they are called antirejection drugs.


Due to Covid dad can’t be with mom in the hospital except from 1pm-5pm and he is 1 hour and half away from the hospital.  My parents are from Puerto Rico in which they understood to leave all behind in order to give their remaining years of their lives in the service of The Lord in Clinton Iowa. The Lord by pouring their life out at a local homeless shelter in a surrounding city about 2 hours from where my mom is in the hospital.  He is currently # 5 on the waiting list for a room at the discounted near the local hospital. They currently have no transportation and rely on one friend who was the one taking mom to her appointments at Iowa City Medical Center Transplant Clinics. 


We are trying to raise money for medical expenses, lodging in a discounted hotel specifically for the family members that have been admitted on a long term basis, food, transportation to and from hospital every day because no one is allowed to stay at the hospital.  I would like for my father to be near his wife during this difficult time without the concern of how will this happen, he has always been like a soldier and never left  her side.  My mom a mighty intercessor my father has helped pioneer drug rehabilitation programs in the Dominican Republic. They are both servants of God and raised their in the Lord.  Please help me make this happen by coming together to help carry the burdens of our family in Christ!


Please pray for  divine favor for the waiting list to open quickly, divine and miraculous healing, wisdom and strategy for the doctors and protection. Please pray for their peace, strength and comfort as well that is so needed right now.
