This is my sweet girl Ming Ming. Last night, she was attacked by a coyote in the backyard. I left her out one last time before we went to bed. I brushed my teeth and jumped in the shower real quick, so I didn’t hear anything. When I opened the door for her to come back in, she didn’t, and I found her laying in the grass covered in blood.
The emergency vet said all her extra skin and wrinkles are what helped keep her alive, and none of her injuries were internal. She has over 60 stitches and a tube going through her skin near her neck. Ming is my favorite thing about life, the best part of my day, and importantly, she was a surprise Christmas gift from my dad who passed away not long ago. Ming’s tail is always wagging, she loves a spoon of peanut butter, but oddly enough, her breath always smells like pepperoni. She’s so loving and snores as loud as a lawnmower. I hope she’s still the same after this.
I’m a full-time student again and working as a dental assistant around my school schedule. After her emergency visit and surgery, I still have a portion left of her bill that I’m struggling to figure out how to come up with. The vet said that sometimes people can make a funding for donations. It’s hard to ask for help when you don’t have it. I’m extremely grateful for any help at all or sharing this post. Thank you.
