Help Ming Beat Cancer and Heal

Ming, Ming-Ming, Mr. Dingers, Mingaford Lee, has been the sweet boy in our family since he was born in 2019. He’s a black Manx cat with a nub tail, and he’s always been the sweetest and most gentle cat to everyone. Recently, Ming's been limping and we figured it was any number of his usual parkour tricks or too high of a jump from the fridge, top of the door, top of the cabinets, etc. so we took him in for an X-ray. They couldn't quite confirm it was a fracture but it looked right so we were advised to bring him over for an orthopedic scope. This was horrifically not the case -- they found that he has cancer around his shoulder bone. We’re still waiting to find out the exact type, but it’s been a heartbreaking and stressful diagnosis.

Ming is very low on energy and spends most of his day hiding under beds, away from the rest of us. It’s tough to see him like this, especially since he’s always been such a lively and loving presence in our home. The next step is a CT scan to check for any spread of the cancer. If the scan comes back clean, Ming will need to have his front left leg amputated to give him the best chance at recovery. We’re hopeful that with the right treatment, Ming can become our funky, three-legged, no-tail cat for many more years to come.

The costs for Ming’s diagnosis and treatment are more than we can manage on our own. We’re raising funds to cover the CT scan and amputation.
