Hello all and thank you for reading. I write today with a heart heavy with emotion requesting support for my amazing mother, Mindy. Over 20 years she has committed herself to our community by coordinating 100+ Senior Citizens’ daily hot meals throughout Butte County through Chico Meals on Wheels. She's a beacon of light throughout our community who always thinks of others before herself. She needs our services presently. Mindy was admitted to Enloe in March when she fell seriously ill. Weeks of intervention and tests led to the terrible news: She has breast cancer that spread to the liver and the bones. She was hospitalized for over 20 days and was readmitted again as the battle continues. Her medicines and treatment are extremely expensive, and the journey forward remains long and unpredictable. We are asking for any assistance, be it a donation, contribution, or even a prayer—to relieve a little of the staggering weight from her shoulders so that she can have time to focus on healing. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for praying with us, loving us, and supporting us. It means more than words could ever say.
