Hi,
We are a family of five living in Menlo Park, California, and Mina is the youngest of our three children. She is currently a freshman at Menlo-Atherton High School. Because her mother matched into a medical residency program at UNM, our family will need to relocate to Albuquerque next year.
As we prepare for this major transition, Mina has been accepted to Albuquerque Academy, where she has also been awarded $18,825 in tuition assistance. We are deeply grateful for this support. The annual tuition is $30,000 and, we are still responsible for the remaining balance of approximately $11,293.
At the same time, all five members of our family are facing significant changes, and two of Mina’s older siblings will also be starting college. With the limited income of a medical residency and the added financial demands of relocation and higher education costs, covering the remaining tuition is very difficult for our family.
Mina is a promising first-generation student with a bright future ahead of her. She is social, warm, athletic, and naturally gifted at building strong connections with others. Her leadership qualities, organized spirit, and discipline as an athlete have helped her excel both in and out of the classroom. We truly believe Albuquerque Academy can help open meaningful doors for her future, and we are asking for support so she does not have to lose this opportunity because of financial limitations.
We are deeply grateful for any support, whether through a donation or simply by sharing Mina’s story with others. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for being part of Mina’s journey.
