Life can take you places you never imagined.
I had been diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease in 2015. I was severely dehydrated and had to go to the ER where they found my kidneys were damaged. I was at Stage 3 and quickly went to stage 4. Doctors felt it was due to a combination of diabetes and stress, which raised my blood pressure and caused the kidneys to be damaged over time. Over the next few years I was on a huge amount of medications and went to the doctor monthly.
Last Sunday, I was awake the entire night unable to sleep and vomiting acid. My husband and I called a nearby hospital and spoke with a nurse who told us to go to emergency. He got me into the car and drove me to a nearby hospital. For some reason, I was having an intense panic attack. For folks who know me, I am incredibly calm and not much of a worrier. For some reason, that day, I was unusually nervous and terrified.
We arrived at the hospital to be told that my husband couldn't come in with me due to the Coronavirus. That certainly didn't help my nervousness. I was immediately taken in and after a few tests I was told I had almost zero filtration function for my kidneys. I was immediately admitted to the hospital where they placed a line in me and started dialysis within a few hours.
The expenses for this hospital stay, along with future expenses for medication, ongoing dialysis treatments, and a hopeful kidney transplant, along with regular living expenses, is beyond overwhelming and nothing I could have imagined I would ever have to go through. And to add to an already stressful situation, the entertainment venue that my husband works for cannot reopen yet due to Covid 19.
Any donation would be deeply appreciated. I understand times are difficult for everyone right now, so if you are unable to donate, please stay in prayer for me and share this link as much as possible.
My favorite Proverb is Proverbs 3:5-6 :
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and he will direct your path.
I have anchored my soul to this passage and firmly believe in God's kindness and love for me.
Thank you all in advance and God bless you.
