Hello,

This is Tiffany and Jeremy Kent. We are trying to raise funds to cover the expense involved with the cremation of our Dad, Jerry Kent. He was known as Papa to many. He would have been 75 this year.

On February 21st, Papa fell asleep in death. He is now awaiting the fulfillment of Jehovah's promise of a resurrection Acts 24:15. He was so convinced of this beautiful hope, that he had no fear of death because he knew Jehovah would remember him and he would be one of 'those in the memorial tombs will hear his [Jesus’] voice and come out.” (John 5:28,29) As his family, we too are convinced and comforted in this very real hope.

However, in this world, we have to deal with the realities of death, both the grief and unfortunately the cost.

Mimi and Papa had believed that since Papa had served in the military before they married, the military would help to cover the expenses. At this moment it doesn't seem to be happening, not to say that in the future they may decide to reimburse the costs. But we have to find a way to offset the cost right now.

Mimi is on a fixed income as are we. After researching the lowest cost method of cremation it appears that the cost will be around $3,000. Unfortunately, we do not have money for this. We are asking for help to cover the expense. This would be a tremendous help for us and Mimi.

We will have a memorial service for him but it will likely take place in about a month.
