We are reaching out to share the story of our beloved Mimi, a vibrant and dedicated hairstylist who has recently faced significant health challenges. In early November, Mimi was found unresponsive and was rushed to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with sepsis, leading to kidney and liver failure. Over the course of 2 ambulance rides, 3 different hospitals, and after 6 critical days of care Mimi was able to leave the hospital on Thanksgiving morning

Mimi’s health struggles are compounded by a congenital birth defect that has required multiple surgeries throughout her life. Unfortunately, she now faces the necessity of two additional surgeries to address this condition. The upcoming procedure will involve a mandatory 10-day hospital stay with IV fluids and a feeding tube, aiming for a definitive resolution to her health issues. The recovery period remains uncertain.

As Mimi prepares for surgery scheduled between January 20th and February 20th, she will be unable to work during this time. The financial burden of her recent hospitalization, combined with the costs of the forthcoming surgery and recovery, is substantial.

We are reaching out to our community to rally around Mimi during this challenging period. Your generous contributions will directly assist with medical expenses and support her during her recovery. Mimi has always been a source of joy and creativity in our lives; now, she needs our help to regain her health and continue sharing her talents with the world.
