Hi everyone, Im trying to raise money for a new hospital bed for my favorite human being in the world, my mimi, as well as extra money to be able to afford having hospice nurses/caregivers full time. My mother has been her full time care giver for a few years now, and it has taken a huge toll on her mentally and physically. She is truly the most selfless human being I’ve ever known, she has completely given up her life to take care of her mom. A couple months ago my mimi fell, resulting in a broken hip. Her doctors didn’t foresee her being able to undergo physical therapy to try to walk again, so my family made the extremely difficult decision to place mimi on hospice. Since then, my mimi has been completely bed ridden. She needs to be turned in bed every 2 hours to prevent bed sores, and this has become increasingly difficult for my mom to do on her own. We have found a hospital bed that is able to turn my mimi as needed without human assistance, but it’s nearly $10,000. Aside from this, we do have caregivers that come a few days a week, but insurance only covers 6 hours a day, and we simply can’t afford to pay out of pocket for more help. This is a 24/7, non stop job for my mom, and it’s far too much for her to do on her own. Any donations will be EXTREMELY appreciated, my family and I would be so thankful.
