My name is Emilia, also known as Mimi, and I was diagnosed with DIPG in August 2025 right before I started year 6!
My life has been turned upside down. I don’t get to dance or play like I used to, but Abbie’s Army has funded a clinical trial which I am currently at in Great Ormond Street Hospital in London which cost over £100,000.
I am fighting hard to beat the cancer. I know everything apart from prognosis, because I will keep fighting. So far thanks to the trial of Car at cells my tumour has reduced. Without the hard work of Abbie’s Army, I wouldn’t have a chance. So I want to help other children like me have a chance, which means I need donations to support new trials.
DIPG NEEDS A CURE!
I am NOT a statistic.
I am Emilia,
I am 11,
I love to dance, act and sing,
I love my family and friends,
I love to make people smile,
I am really good at maths,
I want to get married and adopt,
I want to get a good job helping people,
I want a normal life,
I wish this cancer didn’t exist,
I deserve a chance and so do other children like me.
All donations through this GoFundMe will go to Abbie’s army. Let’s make a difference.
Want to join me in making a difference? I’m raising money to benefit Abbies Army, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
