Help Milton (Sunni) Rebuild After Tragic Car Crash

Hi, my name is Milton Rogers you might know me as Sunni, and I’m reaching out during one of the most challenging moments of my life.

On July 5th, while traveling from Atlanta to my hometown in North Carolina, I was involved in a horrible car accident. I was heading home for a few weeks and had packed my car with everything I would need clothes, shoes, makeup, skincare products, and personal items. Tragically, not only did I lose my vehicle, but I also lost almost all of my belongings in the crash and INSURANCE in North Carolina only cover $100 of personal belongings.

Physically, I’m still recovering. I sustained severe burns and a broken ankle, and will be starting this school year in a wheelchair until I am able to walk again. Emotionally and financially, this accident has set me back in ways I couldn’t have prepared for but I am still holding on to my purpose and my passion and to God's unchanging hand.

On August 20th, I’ll be returning to Morehouse College to continue working toward my degree. Even though I’ll have to begin this semester in a wheelchair, I refuse to let that stop me. It’s a must for me to continue writing my story.

One of the most difficult parts of this loss is that I also lost some of my makeup products and tools items I’ve carefully built and invested in over the years. Makeup artistry was my career before enrolling at Morehouse, and even now, I continue to do makeup on the side as both a source of income and an artistic outlet. It’s a core part of how I express myself and connect with others.

This GoFundMe is to help me replace the essentials I lost from clothes and toiletries to makeup, skincare, and school supplies — so I can begin this next chapter with dignity, peace of mind, and the tools I need to thrive.
