Milo is an adopted 5-year-old white tabby that has been healthy and happy until he experienced a UTI with painful crystals and a urinary obstruction.

Milo is normally a very playful, happy cat that is very food-driven.

At dinner time, he was not interested in food, was throwing up, and had frequent visits to the litter box. Not his normal cheerful and cuddly self. After taking him to urgent care, urine and bloodwork were drawn, and an ultrasound was performed. We were sent home with antibiotics and a UTI diagnosis with crystals.

The following day, he was groaning and meowing in pain, and was uncomfortable no matter how often he changed his position and moved slowly. He was immediately taken to the animal hospital and admitted for a urinary obstruction and taken back to be unblocked, given fluids, pain medicine, and antibiotics. His urine remained bloody and needed to be monitored, and he was subsequently admitted for 2 nights.

He is now home and being monitored closely. He is on a new prescription food and is taking 3 new medicines. We want to focus on helping him heal but we also need to catch up on his medical expenses.
