Hi everyone, I never thought I would have to do this, but I really need help. A few days ago, my dog Milo suddenly became very sick and stopped eating. He was throwing up everything, even water, and I was terrified something was seriously wrong. I rushed him to VEG Etobicoke, and the vets discovered he had a blockage caused by a peach pit. During surgery, they found that 30 cm of his small intestines had been damaged, which led to further complications and required additional care. Surgery was Milo’s only chance of survival. It was one of the hardest and scariest decisions I’ve ever had to make, but thanks to the incredible care at VEG Etobicoke, Milo made it through. He’s still recovering and will need monitoring and treatment at the vet for a little longer. The current vet bill is $4,500, but the vets recommend additional hospitalization if complications continue, which could bring the total to $8,500.

I’ve already used all my savings and sold investments to cover what I could. As a university student in between jobs, I honestly do not know how I would cover the rest without help. Milo means everything to me. He was a gift from my parents after a very dark time in my life, and he has been my constant source of comfort, love, and joy. I cannot imagine losing him.
