It is with unimaginable grief and heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved dog, Milo. He was the most loyal, sweet, and goofy companion, and his sudden absence has left a hole in our lives we can't imagine filling.

For the past week, we had been focused on Milo's recovery from a specific, manageable injury. We had a plan. We had appointments, medications, and a determination to get him back to his energetic, happy self. We were filled with hope and were ready to commit everything to his rehabilitation.

However, in a cruel and completely unexpected twist, we learned the true, devastating nature of his sudden decline.

Milo did not pass away from his initial injury(IVDD). We were given the heartbreaking diagnosis that he had a rapidly progressing and aggressive brain tumor. This tumor quickly robbed him of his quality of life and ultimately took him from us before we could even begin to process the news.

We had to make the impossible, painful decision to say goodbye to our best friend far too soon. Our focus instantly shifted from recovery to ensuring his final moments were filled only with comfort and peace.

The combined shock of the unexpected, aggressive illness and the emergency care required has left us with large veterinary bills that we were simply not prepared for. Every dollar went toward the diagnostics and emergency treatment trying to understand why our recovery plan was failing, only to discover this terminal diagnosis.
