This summer, Milo has the incredible opportunity to go on an 8-day middle school educational trip to Washington, DC and New York City. This once-in-a-lifetime experience will allow him to explore some of the most important historical landmarks in the United States, and we are hoping our community can help make it possible.
Milo is a hardworking 8th grader who has been doing everything he can to raise the money himself. So far, he has participated in his school’s fundraiser selling See’s Candy and even worked at a local Maker’s Fair where he sold homemade gluten-free cupcakes and small crafts that he made himself. Thanks to all of his hard work, Milo has already raised a significant portion of the trip cost, but he is still short and the deadline is approaching.
During this 8-day trip, Milo and his classmates will visit and learn from some of the most important historical and cultural sites in the country, including Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg, the Holocaust Museum, Smithsonian museums, an illuminated night tour of the Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr., and Jefferson Memorials, Arlington Cemetery, the U.S. Capitol Building, Library of Congress, Gettysburg, Philadelphia’s historic district, the National Constitution Center, the 9/11 Memorial in New York, walking the Brooklyn Bridge, the Statue of Liberty, the observation deck at Rockefeller Center, the American Museum of Natural History, and even seeing Hamilton on Broadway.
This trip will bring history to life and give Milo the chance to experience places he has only read about in school. Milo has already worked very hard to make this dream happen, but he still needs help to cross the finish line. Any donation—big or small—will help him get closer to going on this unforgettable educational journey. If you’re able to contribute or share this fundraiser, it would mean so much to Milo and our family. Thank you for helping make this opportunity possible.
