Help Millie Remove Dangerous Trees for Safety

Dear friends, neighbors, and kind-hearted supporters,

I am reaching out on behalf of Millie, a beloved client whom I met on my Meals on Wheels route. She has spent her life caring for others and spreading kindness and joy in her small community of McKinney, TX. Now, she needs our help.

Millie is 83 years old and has been a widow for many years. She has lived in her modest home for over 40 years. Unfortunately, several large, aging trees have become dangerously unstable around her house - some leaning toward her roof and others with dead limbs that could fall at any moment.

Tragically, a large dead limb had already fallen, causing damage and requiring a new roof. After repairs were completed, her homeowners insurance company canceled her policy, stating that they will no longer insure her home due to the dangers the trees pose to her home. The cost of professional tree removal is far beyond her small fixed income. After receiving multiple quotes, it is clear that $12,000 is needed to safely take down the trees, prevent further damage, and give her peace of mind.

Additionally, a recent storm took down a neighbor’s tree that fell into her yard and damaged her fence. This also needs repairs that she is unable to afford.

We are asking for your generosity to help Millie:
