Milagros "Millie" Young is reaching out with a grateful heart. Recently, she experienced a massive heart attack and spent several days in the hospital. The doctors told her she might not survive or be able to breathe on her own again, but by the grace of God, she is here and able to breathe on her own. Millie has always loved helping and praying for others, and she believes letting people know they are loved is so important.

As a blessed 83-year-old, Millie has always enjoyed her independence—driving, cooking, washing clothes, and traveling. Right now, she is unable to do those things, but she is excited for the chance to get back to them again! To make this possible, she needs a walk-in shower, ramps, and any other modifications that would make it easier for her to get around the house or backyard, or be able to sit out on the patio. These changes will greatly improve her recovery and allow her to regain the independence that means so much to her and her family.
