In the early morning hours of 6/19, the most unwelcome and unexpected happened. Millie McGovern was raised out of bed (thankfully!) to the sound of her smoke detectors but this was not a false alarm or low batteries. Millie got out ok but lost her entire second floor with damage all throughout her beloved family home of 60+ years. Millie is unharmed but devastated, as we can all imagine.
Millie is one of the most giving and kind hearted people and a true Littletonian through and through. Millie would go without if it meant she could help someone else with whatever she had and her time is spent volunteering everywhere and anywhere she is needed. And how on earth would have everyone gotten to LHS safely all these years if not for Millie’s traffic control super skills?
We are hoping to help her through this difficult time with financial support as she will need to rebuild her beloved house, obtain some new furniture and clothing and basic necessities.
Any help is truly appreciated and Millie will be pleasantly surprised by it all... and horrified when she finds out we have this page (maybe we shouldn’t tell her quite yet!).
