Hi everyone,

This is for my sweet 9-month-old Golden Retriever grand pup, Millie. She is the heart of our home—playful, loving, and full of life.

Recently, Millie had a frightening medical emergency. She somehow got hold of a hand towel, chewed it up, and ended up ingesting part of it.

Sometime after, she began refusing food and started vomiting. She was taken to the vet the very next day for x-rays, where we were told she had a blockage. From there, she was sent to the emergency hospital for immediate surgery.

The towel caused severe internal damage, and during surgery, between 16 and 18 inches of her intestines had to be removed to save her life. She is still in the hospital and has already been there for two days. She may need to stay a few more days depending on her recovery.

There is also concern that she may develop pancreatitis, as the damage was very close to her pancreas. We are hopeful, but she is still being closely monitored.

We are incredibly grateful she pulled through, but we’re now facing a veterinary bill close to $4,000—which includes her surgery, hospital stay, and recovery.

Any help—no matter the amount—would mean the world to us as we work to cover these unexpected medical expenses and support Millie’s continued healing.
