I adopted Millie last summer from a shelter, and from the moment I saw her, I knew she was the perfect pup for me. Even though she was very anxious, timid, and especially scared of men, I felt like I understood her. Over time, Millie became more relaxed and has opened up to be such a happy, playful little baby. It doesn’t matter what kind of day I’ve had—when I come home, she’s so happy to see me and is so loving. She has brought so much joy to my life, and I call her my daughter because I truly believe we are the same, and that I am her mother.

Millie has swallowed something that is now stuck in her intestines and to get it out she requires emergency surgery. The cost of the procedure is overwhelming, and I am reaching out for help because I need more time with her. There are so many things I haven’t been able to do with her. I want to give her a long and happy life, full of so many more adventures and cuddles.
