Help Millie and Ellie Come Home, Twins Born 2.5 Months Premature

Two weeks ago, my assistant Herson became a father. Twice over. Twin girls, Amelie Sky and Eliana Gale. But instead of bringing them home, he and his wife Diane have almost been sleeping in intensive care in the Philippines watching their daughters fight to breathe behind a thick wall of glass.

The girls were born at 28 weeks through an emergency C-section. They came into the world two and a half months too soon, and both of them have been fighting every single day since.

Herson has worked with me for two years. He is one of the kindest, most hardworking people I have ever known. He has never once asked anyone for anything.

Doctors say the girls could be in intensive care for another two to three months. Herson and Diane bring home $1,600 a month between them. Their hospital bill is estimated to be upwards of $35,000+.

Because the hospital operates on a cash basis, if the money is not available that day for the medicine and treatments then the babies go without.

The situation is pretty dire as Herson and Diane are already considering selling their house and scooter (the family's only transportation).

I found out about this because they quietly wrote a letter to their family asking for prayers. That's who they are. They weren't going to ask strangers for money. They weren't going to make a big deal out of it.
