My sweet Lou Lou bird, who I've had for 7 years, got out about a month ago, and unfortunately, I never got her back. Recently, someone asked me if I would take in and rehome their cockatiel, Milli.

This is Milli, and I got him about 2 weeks ago. He is a very sick little guy. He has a bad respiratory infection and is extremely malnourished. I took him to the vet, and he got fluids, antibiotics, blood, and swab tests, which was a $750 vet bill. He is on an antibiotic vaccine treatment for the next 6 weeks; each of those visits is $120. In total, I will be paying $1,470 for Milli's vet bills.

I am using a chunk of my savings for this, so I thought I would try a GoFundMe to get even a couple hundred back. Anything helps. I have been given the chance to do better with another bird. I'm upset with how expensive this all is, but I can't let Milli die or live in pain. Thanks.
