Help Milissa and Family Through Her Battle Against Cancer
Donation protected
The seriousness of her cancer, and its continued progression, has led us to make the difficult decision to close down our home daycare business. We feel this will give me the opportunity to be at all of Milissa’s doctor appointments and hospital stays going forward. Not only do I want to spend all the time that I can with her, but as her primary at-home care-giver, it would obviously help me to be better informed on how to help her and to be able ask any questions that I might have to the medical team. Right now, even though I am home with her during the day, I am busy all day watching the daycare kids and not able to give her the time and care that she deserves. It is also our hope that closing the daycare will free up some time to spend some much needed time together as a family, which would be a blessing to me, Milissa, and the kids. I am also hoping that this will free up some time so that Milissa can teach me how to do all of the administrative duties that she has always taken care of herself over the years. I want to take all of that stress and responsibility off of her so that she can completely focus on getting better and having time to enjoy time with her family and friends.
Because of this decision, we have reluctantly decided that we will be starting a go fund-me page to help take care of our month to month expenses. We in no way want any of you to feel any pressure or obligation to contribute, but also want to give those of you who are willing and able a way to help out Milissa and our family.
Far more important than money, we ask you all for continued prayers for Milissa and our family. Prayers for complete and total healing, for continued strength, peace, and faith as she continues to battle. Prayers for wisdom and discernment for all of the medical team. Prayers for strength, hope, peace, and faith for me and the kids.
I would be lying if I told you that I don’t have times of fear, but I know that we serve a God that is able. And whether he answers our prayers in the way that we want or not, He is good, and we trust that He will see us through this difficult journey.
