Mildred is a devoted single mother living in Kenya, facing one of the most challenging moments of her life. Recently, she was laid off from her job due to company downsizing, leaving her without a steady income. As a result, she now owes her landlord rent and is struggling to provide even the basics for her 1-year-old daughter. Despite her determination and work ethic, life has taken an unexpected turn, and she finds herself unable to pay rent or put food on the table for her child.
