Help Mila Recover: Support for Urgent Vet Care

Hello, my sweet baby boy is currently in the hospital due to a urinary obstruction. Thankfully the obstruction is resolved, however the rest of his system is in overdrive because of it. He’s dealing with high potassium, low blood pressure, and his kidneys are working hard to balance everything back out. As of now, there’s a 50/50 chance of survival. We were given the option the euthanize due to the high cost of the continued treatment it will take for him to heal.

So far, we have paid $3000 out of pocket for his treatment. I thankfully do have pet insurance however it is only reimbursed after treatment, and at this point I have no more savings to provide upfront. We are also unsure how much insurance will cover after all is said and done. We are taking it day by day and may still have to euthanize, but want to exercise all other options before having to make that decision, and also want to give him the most ideal environment for that to happen in.

Mila is the absolute sweetest cat I’ve ever known. He’s cuddly, adventurous, and my best friend. He has been my rock and biggest companion for the past 10 years. If it comes down to it and the best choice is to euthanize him, we will take that route, but as of now there is still a chance, and without the funds, I’m unable to take that chance for him.

I appreciate any and all support and will gauge the necessary funds based on his prognosis as the days go on. Praying for a full recovery within the week. ❤️
