Hi, my name is Mila and I am hoping to raise funds to go to Germany as part of an All Stars squad for elite soccer training and games in 2026.
I was selected to go to Germany after playing in the Armidale boys representative team, a 4 day tournament called the Rale Rasic Mini World Cup. I always play in a mixed team to try to be the best player I can, regardless of gender limitations.
The Mini World Cup is the only soccer tournament of its kind that offers the opportunity for players to gain not only soccer skills but explore German history as part of an elite selected team.
The football tour is a 24 day program. It will include intense training with international coaches at Sport School Braunshausen, Borussia Dortmund Youth Academy and Wedau Sports School which is Germany's #1 sport school.
As part of the tour we will go to Berlin, Trier, and Verdun, France where we will learn about German football history and walk through battlefields that have shaped history.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and a dream come true. I need help to make this all possible as it will cost $7900 plus airfare and insurance.
A little bit about me.
I am 14yrs old, I have two younger sisters, a puppy and have been playing soccer since I was little.
I am in yr8 and spend my lunch time kicking the soccer ball around with my friends as it is my passion in life.
This year I played club soccer for my school in u14, u16 and the women’s open team. I also played in the TAS 1st XI, making me one of the youngest players to do so. I helped coach my little sister’s u8's team and refereed if I had any spare time.
I have chosen to play for TAS where I will further develop my skills, while continuing my education in Armidale as this is my home town that I love.
Last year I was scouted as someone capable of making it to the WNPL so I joined a pathways program, NIAS TSP (talent support program). I travel fortnightly to Tamworth for after school training and attend gala days. In the pathways program I am representing myself as an individual and my club team.
I am in extension classes at school, so I balance my sport and school life with the aim to play professional soccer in the WNPL while going to University. This has been my career goal since I first played soccer and fell in love with the game.
This opportunity will further my skills, getting me one step closer to playing at a professional level.
Thank you for supporting my journey,
Mila.
