Meet Mila (15) and Emmeline (12) Cheng — sisters, athletes, and rising stars from Stride Muay Thai. This September, they’ll proudly represent Canada for the second year in a row at the IFMA Youth World Championships — the most prestigious international tournament for youth Muay Thai, recognized by the International Olympic Committee.
What started as a fun after-school activity turned into something much bigger. Though they began training for fun, Mila and Emmeline made the decision to compete just three years ago — and they’ve been all-in ever since.
About the Athletes
Mila has been training for 8 years and is a 2x TBA North American Champion (2023 & 2024) and member of Team Canada at the 2024 IFMA Youth World Championships
Emmeline has trained for 7 years, is a 3x TBA North American Champion (2023, 2024 & 2025), and a 2024 IFMA Youth World Championships silver medalist
Both girls have dedicated countless hours in the gym, balancing school, family, and training. Their hard work, discipline, and heart have earned them the honour of representing their country on the world stage — again.
Why We’re Fundraising
Attending the IFMA Youth World Championships comes with significant costs, including:
- International flights & accommodations
- Tournament registration fees and equipment
- Training expenses
We’re raising funds to help support Mila and Emmeline on this journey, so they can focus on what they love most — pushing themselves, growing through competition, and making their country proud.
How You Can Help
Every donation, no matter the size, gets them one step closer to the ring. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing their story to help us spread the word.
