Hello from Billy and JP! Our story is not even our own - it’s about Mila.
Meet Mila, an adorable 9 year old pomsky. What she lacks in height, she makes up in spunkiness and charm. She has a quick way of worming her way into people’s hearts (IYKYK).
On January 19, what should have been a routine dental work became the prelude for a longer journey. The vet found a cyst in her jaw. She was referred to a specialist. Unfortunately, it is cancerous. While we are certainly hoping it is not-malignant, we cannot know until her biopsy (scheduled 4/27).
The surgery is $7k and a 2 week recovery (some of her teeth will be taken out). And while they are not recommending any chemo/radiation, a lot remains unclear.
Asking for help isn’t something we like to do, but we truly want to give her the best shot of a happy, healthy life. Any bit helps, and if you are unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing her story.
