Help Miku Get Her Heart Checked

Meet Miku!
I adopted this sweet girl back in May, and she’s been the light of my life ever since. Miku loves her wet food and Churus, chasing wand toys, and curling up in bed for cuddles at the end of the day. She’s the sweetest addition to our family, and I can’t imagine life without her.
When I adopted Miku, the shelter mentioned she had a 2/6 heart murmur and advised me to follow up with a vet. I did just that. After several vet visits, we discovered that Miku has an enlarged right atrium, which is likely the cause of her murmur. This kind of heart issue is uncommon in cats and is more often seen in dogs with heartworm. She’s also developed a moderate wet cough that’s probably linked to her heart condition.
We’ve ruled out asthma and a few other possibilities, and now her vet has recommended we see a cardiologist. Miku has been referred for an EKG & echocardiogram at MedVet to get a clearer picture of what’s going on.
I love Miku more than anything and want to give her the best care possible. Unfortunately, this is an unexpected medical expense that I wasn’t prepared for, especially since I was originally told her murmur wasn’t a cause for concern. Any amount you’re able to give would mean the world to both of us. Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
