Hi everyone, we never thought we’d be in a position like this—especially with the holidays around the corner—but my family cat, Miklo, is currently fighting a very serious and life-threatening urinary blockage and needs emergency veterinary care. He is family, and we are doing everything we can to give him a chance to survive and recover.
Within the last two days, Miklo stopped peeing completely and became severely bloated due to the blockage. Knowing how dangerous this is for cats, we rushed him to the emergency vet even though we didn’t have the money—we just knew he needed help.
The upfront cost was $800, with the visit totaling $1,300, and we were told the estimated cost would be $2,000 or more. A close friend loaned the money so Miklo could receive care. Unfortunately, we later learned his kidneys are in very bad condition and may be affecting his heart. He is awake but barely moving and at risk of cardiac arrest. He now needs to remain hospitalized for at least a week, if not longer, and the total cost is expected to be around $4,000 regardless of the outcome. We are praying for the chance to bring him home to his brother, Raider.
With the holidays here, a baby shower to plan, and only three months until I welcome my baby girl, this has put us in an incredibly difficult position. Any help—whether through donating, sharing, or prayers—truly means everything. Thank you so much for supporting Miklo during this heartbreaking time.
