Help Mikki Guerrero as her family battles COVID-19
Donation protected
Dear friends and family of the Guerrero/Monasterial Family,
For those of you who do not know me, my name is Jolene Nguyen-Cuu and I am a third-year medical student at UCR School of Medicine. On behalf of my fellow classmate and beloved roommate, Mikki Guerrero, I am starting this GoFundMe page in hopes of providing her some financial assistance during this tragic and heartbreaking time.
Over the holidays, on December 29, 2020, Mikki unexpectedly lost her mother, Cristy Monasterial Guerrero, due to COVID-19. At the age of 60, Cristy’s passing was sudden and devastating. To make matters worse, Mikki’s father and grandmother are also both severely ill with COVID-19 and currently in the ICU.
As an only child, all the responsibilities of her parents have now been placed on Mikki. From her parents’ mortgage and utility bills to the high cost of a funeral service for her dearest mother, Mikki now has more to juggle on top of her already busy and stressful workload as a medical student. Because of this, I am opening up this page to hopefully take away some of the financial burdens.
Nevertheless, I want to emphasize that I do not want anyone to feel pressured to donate. This has been a particularly rough year for everyone, so I simply appreciate you taking the time to stop by and read this page.
However, if you are someone in search of a way to support Mikki during this difficult time and you have the means to do so, then please do consider donating. Otherwise, I just ask that you please keep her and her family, particularly her father’s and grandmother’s recovery, in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you so much.
-Jolene
