Dear Community,

My dearest friend Miki was in a bad car accident on their way home from Wasteland Weekend this past Sunday. We are so grateful and relieved that Miki made it out of this accident, but their car was completely totaled and the extent to which their body has suffered is still being determined. Miki's medical condition is compounded by their diagnosis with M.S., which not only complicates their healing process after this horrible accident, but has also made their ability to consistently work over the past few years very challenging.

Miki is currently facing hospital bills, on top of being scammed by a tow company charging an insane fee, while needing to look for a new car, trying to get back to work, and recover from this traumatic experience. So much at once.

If you know Miki, you know they always show up for their friends with the sweetest gifts, emotional support, joy, and laughter, and they are are always pushing themselves to help others even when it is a physical struggle (even though we try to get them to rest!).

Community, please show up for this incredibly special, loving, wonderful person who really needs the help right now. Even if it is just $5-10, it'll add up. If you are reading this and you do not know Miki personally, I plead for you to do this "for me" (have I ever given you insect related advice or an ID? Then please pitch in 5 buckaroos!)

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. My heart is so broken for them but I am channeling that energy into this. Thank you for helping one of my favorite people on the planet.
