This is Michael E. Maddox (Mikey), 48 years old. He was my daughter Wendy Whitaker’s partner. He drowned in Lake Strom Thurmond yesterday as he was helping her get across. We need help with paying for his final arrangements. He had no life insurance, and Wendy is disabled. The cost is $13,405. Please help with what you can. Mikey loved his family, especially the children. He loved animals, was always feeding the strays, and always stopping to save turtles and snakes out of the road. Mikey never met a stranger. He loved music, movies, and trivia. His wish was to be buried beside his dad.
