Help Mikey on his road to recovery

On Thursday, June 10, 2021, Mikey was riding his ATV with friends. He unexpectedly had a seizure while going 25 mph. During the seizure he lost control of his quad and it rolled 6 times, each time it rolled Mikey was hitting the back of his skull on the concrete.
He was immediately rushed to DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital. There his diagnosis was a fractured skull, blood on the brain, and a blood clot that is near the base of his skull/neck. He was intubated and heavily sedated for the first couple of days. He has to remain in his neck brace to ensure there are no rapid movements that could dislodge the blood clot.
Mikey has no prior history of seizures in his adult life. He did suffer from a febrile seizure as a child, which was caused by a fever. Unfortunately Mikey does not have any health insurance, so his hospital stay, visits to neurological specialists, extensive testing, and medications need to be paid for 100% out of pocket. He will be unable to work for months. Even when he finally does receive a release for work, he will be unable to drive himself to work. Michigan Law states you have to be seizure free for 6 months to a year before they will re-issue your license.
The seizure medication that Mikey needs to take daily is $1,100 for a one month supply. Right now his mother, Yvonne, only had enough money to buy 2 weeks' worth of medication. Without this medication the seizures may reoccur and cause more damage to his already fragile state. The doctors said it may take a month or more for his body to naturally reabsorb all of the blood that is on his brain.
Mikey has been released from the hospital as of June 16th, but he has a long road to recovery. He has no memory of the accident, is still very confused and has a hard time focusing his eyes. He needs someone to be with him and care for him 24/7. His girlfriend, Alejandra, is able to be with him and look after him. It is unknown at this time if he will suffer from any long-term damage to his brain. More testing will need to be conducted after the swelling is gone and the pooling of blood has dissipated.
Since Mikey is not earning any income, the sole financial responsibility of paying for 2 households (which includes Mikey, Alejandra, and their 14 year old son, Jorge) will fall on his mother, Yvonne Christie. Yvonne is doing everything she can to try and make sure everyone is taken care of. But that is a big burden for one person to carry.
