Help Mikey Get His Urgent Eye Surgery

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

This is my beloved cat, Mikey, my best friend. He's a sweet, affectionate cat who brings so much joy to my life. Unfortunately, Mikey needs an urgent operation to remove his eye.

Several months ago, I noticed his eye was watering, and I initially thought it was just a cold. Sadly, it worsened over time. As a disabled person on a limited income, I struggled to find affordable veterinary care. The Humane Rescue, where I hoped to get help, was no longer accepting new clients.

Thankfully, the kindness of Landon and Bre allowed me to take Mikey to Petwell Clinic. There, I received the devastating news: Mikey's eye, likely injured from a scratch, required removal (enucleation), or euthanasia would be the only other option. At only seven years old and otherwise healthy, euthanasia was unthinkable.

I then contacted several veterinary specialists, including Blue Pearl. The estimated cost for the necessary surgery ranges from $1,800 to $4,000, plus the consultation fees, which alone are $85 to $240. I am facing a financial burden I simply cannot manage on my own.

It's with a heavy heart that I ask for your help. I understand times are tough, and I'm not asking for large donations; even small contributions will make a significant difference.

To be transparent:

* The fundraising goal reflects the high end of the estimated costs, including potential aftercare expenses.

* If we don't reach the goal, all donations will be returned.

* If we exceed the goal, any surplus will be donated to local animal shelters and rescues.

* I will provide regular updates on Mikey's progress.
