Many people knew Mike as a brilliant local musician. He was also a dedicated father that loved his kids more than anything.

A friend you could call at 3 a.m., and he would listen because we all knew he was awake.

He loved going fishing and hunting when he was healthy enough to go.

An avid Civil War buff, collecting American history and even reenacting as Jeb Stuart.

He was my best friend since I was a kid, as he was to many of you. He made lifelong friendships.
