Mikela is only 11 years old and is currently ranked #1 female surfer in Costa Rica for youth ages 16 and under, and ranked #2 in Central America. This little powerhouse has so much potential and talent. Her parents, Mike and Esmeralda Castro, need a little help to be able to take Mikela to compete in the upcoming ALAS Pro Tour Surfing events, November 7 through 10 in Guatemala, and November 17 - 23 in El Salvador, and the ISA (International Surf Association) Junior World Games in December.
Mikela's parents feel that she is too young to travel by herself to these events and want to accompany her there. For this reason, they are asking for help to raise $3,500 to be able to go with her to these competitions. With that money, her mom can go with her and encourage her to do her best at each competition.
This money will cover the costs of flights, inscriptions, food, and lodging for the first two events, which are not paid for by the Costa Rican Surf Federation, as well as the cost for Mikela's mom to be able to accompany her to the Junior World Games in Peru.
We really appreciate any help you are willing to provide for them to make their dreams a reality.
