This is Alexandra Roper, one of Mike’s step daughters. I am writing this on behalf of his daughter Erica Zolt and all of Mikes family.
Michael (Mike) Zolt became ill back in July 2022. What he thought was initially an injury became drastically worse over the next few weeks and as of August 2022 he was admitted to the hospital. What was originally thought to be an injury was in fact cancer of his liver which had metastasized in his upper right lung and adrenal gland. This unfortunately turned into malignant pleural effusion. Many proactive steps were taken to give Mike a fighting chance, multiple medical treatments and installation of a chest tube were some of the actions taken. Mike fought with all he had and kept his happy, playful demeanor through it all. Unfortunately the time came where despite all exhaustive efforts, nothing could be done to help Mike win his fight. A little over a month after his admission to the hospital, Mikes battle with cancer ended, leaving many broken hearts in its wake. Mikes final wishes were simple, but even simple wishes are costly. He wished to be cremated, and have a celebration of life in his memory. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date and it will be updated here and on the funeral homes website. This will help with all of that and wrapping up loose ends left behind due to the unexpected nature of Mike’s passing, any donation is truly helpful and appreciated. Please help Mikes loved ones to honor his wishes with whatever you can.
