I'm raising funds for my brother, Mike Zigon, whose pancreatic cancer has shifted from remission to stage IV (metastatic).
"To explore strange new worlds; to seek out new life and new civilizations; to boldly go where no one has gone before…"
For as long as I can remember, my brother Mike has embodied the spirit of exploration. Whether it meant flying to Hawaii for a paintball tournament or a film festival, studying in Israel, or simply sharing his love of fantasy and science fiction with those around him, he’s always been an adventurer at heart. Now, he wants nothing more than to pass that same sense of wonder and discovery on to his children, Eloise and Oliver.
Recently, after nearly two years in remission, Mike received the heartbreaking news that his pancreatic cancer has returned. He continues to receive excellent care and incredible support from friends and family, but this next chapter will involve ongoing chemotherapy—likely for the rest of his life.
Through it all, Mike’s approach to life remains some combination of Captain Picard, the Black Knight, and Eric Idle: steadfast, a little ridiculous, and always looking on the bright side of life.
This campaign isn’t just about covering treatment costs. It’s about helping Mike build a stable home base for his children and giving them the chance to explore the world together while he still can. Whether it’s a weekend getaway, a trip somewhere new, or a special night out, Mike is determined to create memories his children will carry with them forever.
With your support, we hope to ease the financial burden of medical expenses and create space for joy, adventure, and connection in the time ahead. Any contribution—no matter the size—will help Mike focus on what matters most: time with his family and the chance to boldly go together, if only for a little while.
Thank you for being part of his crew.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Eli
