Update August 14, 2025

Unfortunately, Mike has yet again to undergo another hip surgery, this Friday, August 15th. The most recent surgery, six weeks ago, failed, and the hip moved out of location yet again. This time, a new hip will be installed instead of trying to repair the previous problem.

Mike is a retired Law enforcement officer with 30 years of experience working for the Fayetteville, NC, police department. He has undergone several operations. The most recent is for yet another hip surgery in which he also had a serious infection. He has to have a six-week antibiotic IV drip twice a day and also therapy. He is currently in the Village Green Rehab facility in Fayetteville and has been there since July 3, 2025. He is unable to walk and continues to have serious pain.
