Help Mike Ludwig (My Dad) Get Back on His Feet After Leg Amputation.
Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,
I am reaching out to ask for your support for my old man Mike, an avid outdoorsman, motorcycle enthusiast, and a handyman who takes pride in helping others. Recently, Mike was diagnosed with a form of bone cancer called Spindle Cell Sarcoma. A tumor in the foot the size of a softball. Despite rounds of chemo, taking the leg was the only option he was left with, thus taking away his ability to work and do what he loves.
Mike’s love for the outdoors and his motorcycle has always been a huge part of his life, and losing his leg has been a heartbreaking challenge. However, he’s determined to regain his independence and return to doing the things he loves—spending time with his family, exploring nature, and feeling the wind on his face while riding his motorcycle. Along with getting back to work, which for him is all manual labor.
A prosthetic leg will be a life changer for Mike, helping him walk again, get back to work, and restore his active lifestyle. Unfortunately, insurance has not approved a prosthetic leg for my father. The process has been frustrating for him, to say the least, as that's why we have insurance. We are raising funds to help Mike afford a prosthetic leg so he can get back to a somewhat normal lifestyle, one that will allow him to pursue his passions and allow him to work again.
Every donation, big or small, will bring Mike closer to getting back on his feet—literally. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page with others. Your kindness and support mean the world to Mike and his family.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping Mike on his journey toward healing and reclaiming the life he loves.
With gratitude,
My old man and I
