Late last week on his way home from work, our friend and coworker Mike Taylor was seriously injured in a crash involving a driver who fled the scene.

The driver left Mike with eight broken ribs and a lot of road rash. Thankfully, a witness and EMS responded quickly to remove Mike from under a parked car where he slid from the crash. We don’t anticipate SLMPD finding the driver that caused this.

Mike spent four days at SLU hospital incurring lots of medical debt. We expect him to miss work for at least a few weeks while he goes through his painful recovery.

Any donations will be used to help make Mike whole again.

For those of you not familiar with Mike, he is an integral part of the BWorks team, with his main fault being caring too much. You can find him staying late, coming in early and going above and beyond to help others. Never asking for help, he makes sure that our BWorks students have all of the bikes they have chosen and earned on time for each day they need them.

Mike has helped thousands of people over the years. Let’s make sure he knows we are here to support and help him.
