Help Mike swing a leg over again
Donation protected
As some of you may already know, on September 18th Mike Cook had a stroke. His left side is paralyzed and it’ll be a long road before he gets full use back. As such, he wont be able to draw an income (as a forklift mechanic) for the foreseeable future.
Mike lives alone so, with no money coming in, expenses will become an issue. His regular bills include water, electric, phone, groceries and dog food. But upon his release from the hospital, he’ll be needing special equipment, in-home nursing, and physical therapy, He will also have numerous uncovered medical bills.
He’s applied for financial assistance but it’ll be weeks before his application makes it in front of someone and he actually sees any money. Government agencies are still very backed up. Social security disability won’t even consider him for five months.
Any of you that know Mike know he’s losing his mind right now, being unable to do anything for himself. He’s been working so hard every single day so he can get back home: to his puppies, to his work and to his bikes.
Boys and girls, any and all help would be immensely appreciated. He has a long, frustrating road ahead of him, but is looking forward to playing with his puppies and being able to ride in the mountains again!
