Hi everyone, I am Mike Sweeney's sister, Nikki. On Sunday, October 8th, Mike was involved in a tragic car accident that has changed the trajectory of his life and left him paralyzed from the waist down.

For anyone who knows Mikey, you know how big his heart is and how much he cares for other people. For anyone who has not met him, he is someone other people love to be around. He is the kind of guy who will help you without knowing you, and give you the shirt off his back without asking for anything in return. He's the person you can go to in good times and bad. The only thing he loves more than sports, is being surround by his family and friends. I'm reaching out to you all, because his journey to recovery will be long and costly and his focus needs to be his mental and physical health.
