On July 27th, our lives changed in an instant.

My dad’s heart stopped, and he stopped breathing for 25-30 minutes. My mom immediately began CPR and kept going until help arrived , she truly saved his life. After more than a week in the hospital, he now has a defibrillator to help protect his heart. He has also been diagnosed with heart failure, and his ejection fraction is currently only 20%.

Right now, he is experiencing short-term memory loss, and we don’t know if it will improve, or if he will be able to return to driving a semi or working at all. Driving a truck has been his career and passion for his entire life.

With his income gone and my mom taking time off work to care for him, they are facing a difficult road ahead. We are asking for help to cover monthly bills and basic expenses while they adjust to this new reality and focus on his recovery.
