MICHAEL JOHN ROJO Needs Us
Michael John is one of my former student in the University of Baguio- School of Nursing, Philippines. He is 40 years old, a devoted father to his 4 year old son and a loving husband to his wife Jenie Rose Bulatao.
Michael is deeply passionate with basketball. He is well known in the UpNorth Basketball League Baguio-Benguet sports association as a outstanding player and a mentor.
Michael was diagnosed with CML- Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia in 2016. Since that day, the Rojo family world had been forever changed. After exhausting treatment options and years of gruelling chemotherapy, Michael's condition exacerbated.
Earlier in January 2021, he presented with splenomegaly, ascites, liver, gallbladder, and eye complications. He is admitted at the Saint Louis University Hospital for further chemotherapy and medical management.
In January 21, 2021, he had a grand mal seizure with brain hemorrhage which led him to a state of comatose. He is now being resuscitated with ventilator, massive blood transfusions and extensive medical treatment at the
SLU-Intensive Care Unit in Baguio City Philippines.
Michael John Rojo is fighting for his life at the moment. Given his crucial medical condition, he will need to stay in the ICU for a longer period of time. The Rojo and Bulatao family has exhausted their Philhealth insurance and other monetary funds for the previous hospitalizations of Michael. As we know, health care system in the Philippines is privatized. Currently, Michael's hospital bill is estimated to half a million pesos,
(around $15,000.00+ in Canada and US dollar) and adding up on a daily basis.
The family and friends of Michael John is humbly asking for financial aid from anyone who is willing to share any amount of money to be used for paying the medical treatment and hospital bills.
We are also asking that you please include MICHAEL JOHN ROJO in your prayers and intentions.
God's saving power is within us.
Thank you for taking the time to read Michael's situation. We shall pray that God continue to bless all of us and continue to make us as His instruments of Love, Sharing, and Peace.
"God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them." ---Hebrews 6:10
