Hi everyone,
I'm writing this on behalf of my dear friend Mike, who was recently involved in a devastating motorcycle accident on Thursday, July 31st, 2025, in Highland. Mike was riding his Harley after a long day at work, heading out to see friends and family, when his life changed in an instant.
Despite having the right of way, Mike was T-boned by another driver who ran a stop sign, who struck him directly on the right side of his body. The impact was brutal. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered he had serious injuries, including a broken arm and leg.
Mike has since undergone major surgery to begin repairing the damage—surgery that was successful but only the first step in what will be a long, painful recovery. Right now, he's in a hospital bed, fighting every day to get stronger. His body is healing, slowly but surely, but the road back to walking, working, and riding again is going to take months of physical therapy, time off work, and a lot of support.
Anyone who knows Mike knows that he’s one of the hardest-working people out there. He works seven days a week, rarely takes a break, and never complains. He’s the type who’ll give you a hand even when he barely has one free himself. He doesn't ask for help, so I’m writing this on his behalf—because right now, he needs us.
At home, Mike has a year-and-a-half-old dog who has been anxiously waiting for his best friend to come home. That pup doesn’t understand why Mike hasn’t walked through the door, and Mike can’t wait for the day he can wrap his arms around his dog again, walk on his own two feet, and get back to the life he was living.
This fundraiser will go toward medical expenses, therapy, lost wages, and basic support to help him through this unexpected time. Anything you can give helps—not just financially, but emotionally too. Let’s remind Mike he’s not alone in this.
If you can’t donate, please share this with your friends, family, or anyone who might be able to help. The more eyes we get on Mike’s story, the more chances we have to bring him the support he truly deserves.
Let’s help him get back on his feet—he has so much life left to live, and people (and a pup) waiting with open arms.
Thank you so much for your love and support.
